Striped Red Mullet – Mullus surmuletus – The Meeting
Slightly compressed body with a short head and a pair of barbels beneath the lower jaw, about as long as the pectoral fins. Its reddish body is marked by a distinct dark stripe running from eye to tail. Usually found on rocky or detrital seabeds between 10 and 500 meters deep. Grows up to 40 cm.
