Wat Pa Ban Tat

Wat Pa Ban Tat – Forest Monastery of Luangta Maha Bua

Wat Pa Ban Tat, located in Ban Tat, Udon Thani, was first founded in 1955 and officially established as a Buddhist temple in September 1970. It is best known as the residence of Luangta Maha Bua Yanasampanno, one of Thailand’s most respected forest meditation masters and disciple of Phra Achan Man Phurithattathera. Although Luangta Maha Bua has passed away, his legacy continues to inspire and the temple remains a place of reverence, meditation, and serene beauty — a meaningful subject for photography.
