Scott Craigh (Scotscraig) Wreck, Malta

The Scotscraig was one of three ferries operating between Dundee and Newport across the River Tay in Scotland until the opening of the Tay Road Bridge in August 1966 ended the service. How the vessel eventually arrived in Malta remains unclear, but it is known that she was used as a supply barge during the filming of Popeye the Sailor in Anchor Bay. At some point, while being towed towards Valletta, the vessel sank just outside Anchor Bay, where the wreck still rests today.
