Sea Turtles

Sea Turtles – Ancient Ocean Wanderers

Sea turtles are among the Earth’s most ancient creatures, with seven living species that have existed for over 110 million years, dating back to the age of the dinosaurs. Their streamlined shells, or carapaces, are built for efficient swimming, while unlike land turtles, they cannot retract their heads or limbs. Depending on the species, sea turtles range in color from yellow to greenish to nearly black. Their timeless presence and graceful movements make them some of the most captivating subjects in underwater photography.
