Crustaceans

Crustaceans – Crabs, Lobsters & Shrimp

Crustaceans (Crustacea) form one of the largest and most diverse groups of arthropods, including familiar species such as crabs, lobsters, crayfish, shrimp, krill, and barnacles. With more than 50,000 described species, they range in size from the tiny Stygotantulus stocki at just 0.1 mm to the giant Japanese spider crab with legs spanning up to 3.8 m. Their variety in form, color, and habitat makes them both ecologically vital and visually striking subjects in underwater photography.
